Tim Nelson is the co-founder and CEO of Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance, organisations working globally to support businesses in addressing human trafficking and modern slavery risks across their operations and supply chains.
Through Slave-Free Alliance, Tim and his team have built a network of more than 120 corporate partners including 18 FTSE 100 companies helping organisations strengthen governance, meet regulatory requirements, and implement practical, scalable solutions to mitigate modern slavery and labour exploitation. His work focuses on translating complex human rights challenges into clear, actionable strategies that align with commercial priorities and risk management frameworks.
Hope for Justice underpins this work with frontline expertise, operating programmes across the world reaching approximately 155,000 adults and children each year. This direct operational insight ensures that the advice and support provided to businesses is grounded in real-world intelligence, survivor-informed practice, and a deep understanding of exploitation risks. With a background in banking, finance, and technology, and a BSc (Hons) in Management and Technology, Tim brings a commercially astute and pragmatic approach to human rights. He works with senior leaders to embed responsible business practices, enhance supply chain transparency, and drive meaningful, measurable impact.
